My Top 10 Wedding Movies

I truly love everything about weddings, from the flowers to the cake, the beautiful photography and happy couple, and everything in between.  When it comes to wedding movies, they are some of my favorite films of all time.  I can watch them over and over again until I have every line memorized and they never get old.  Here are my top ten favorite wedding movies:

10. Wedding Planner

9. 27 Dresses

8. The Hangover

7. Wedding Crashers

6. The Wedding Singer

5. Princess Bride

4. My Big Fat Greek Wedding

3. Father of the Bride

2. The Proposal

1. The Wedding Date

That list makes me want to pop some popcorn, grab a snuggly blanket and prop my feet up!  So what are your favorite wedding flicks?

Bouquet Toss

I was reading on WeddingBee.com about alternatives to throwing the bouquet and I must say I think I like those alternative ideas even better!

  • Give the bouquet to your mother or another special woman in your life. Say a few words on how much they have meant to you.
  • The "anniversary dance", where the bouquet is given away to the couple that's been together for the longest
  • Some brides choose not to give away their bouquet at all.

The last idea is the reason most of my customers purchase my bouquets.  They want to keep them and display them in their home as arrangements after the wedding.  One of my brides who purchased a toss bouquet, so she wouldn't have to toss hers, said that the "winner" of the bouquet toss thought the bouquet was so beautiful that she has it displayed on her mantel!

Let's try this again...

So, I was determined to post regularly, but as we can all see, that didn't happen.  I'm going to attempt to keep up with the blog, but with a two year old, a ten month old and an online business, I'm lucky if I get the laundry done.  This is the time of year that business slows down a bit.  I am, however, working on six different wedding orders at the moment so it is definitely enough to keep me busy.

You ask, what is in my craft room now?  Well, have a look:

Again, I'm really going to try this time to post regularly about orders that I'm working on and any news about Southern Girl Weddings that comes up.
